Why should a simple page cost you every month?
It should not. Create your page once and share it everywhere. You pay when someone taps a link, a button or a contact on it, with a one-time package and top-ups. Visits to your page and scans of its QR code never use link actions, so a quiet month costs next to nothing.
The promise
Four things a page here never does to you, and how each one is kept.
- No ads
- Your page is served by our own worker, in one process. Nothing is inserted between your visitor and your links, because nothing else runs in the path.
- No badge once you buy
- Until you buy link actions, your page carries an invitation from Popin for your visitors to make their own, and a friend who buys through it earns you link actions. Buy the package or a top-up and it comes off. If your link actions run out, your page shows a limited version with a Popin banner on it until you top up. Otherwise the "Made with Popin · Make yours" line is your switch, off unless you turn it on.
- Nothing monthly
- You buy link actions once: the Popin package, then a top-up when you want more. There is no charging authority on file and nothing that renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
- Yours to leave
- Export everything, any time. Point a domain you already own at your page with one CNAME, and the address you print is one you keep.
Questions
What counts as a link action?
Someone tapping a button or link on your page: a link, a button, a social icon or a contact. Visits to your page and scans of its QR code never use link actions. A tap uses one on a plain page, 2 on a Smart or section page, 3 with both. A filled-in form uses 5 more, on top of the tap that sends it. The same person tapping again within half an hour counts once. Taps we detect as automated are not counted. A link you add under your name (popin.click/you/x) uses one link action each time it's scanned or opened.
What happens when my link actions run out?
If link actions you bought run out, your page keeps working in full for up to 14 days, or 5 percent of your last purchase, whichever comes first. Welcome link actions have no grace. After that, popin.click/you shows a limited version, up to a daily limit: your profile, text, social icons and first few links, with a Popin banner on it. Video, forms, embeds and other rich blocks are hidden, the page is locked for editing, and links under your handle and a page on your own domain pause. Top up and the full page and editing come straight back. Your handle is kept either way, and you can still export or delete your page.
Do link actions expire?
Link actions are valid 12 months from the day you buy them, and every purchase, the package or a top-up, rolls everything you still have forward to at least that new date.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Point a domain you already own at your page with one CNAME record and the certificate is issued for you. A domain is 2,500 link actions, once, never a yearly fee.
Do you track my visitors?
We count opens and taps on our own servers, without a cookie: you see counts, countries and which link was tapped. Taps are counted per link, to bill them and for your stats; opens are counted for your stats only. Your page sets no cookie and loads no pixel, so it needs no banner, and nobody is followed to other sites. Our privacy policy lists every field an open or a tap records.
What if I want to leave?
Export your page and go. There is no subscription to end, and a domain you pointed at us is yours to point elsewhere.
